RIP Wicket the Cat

Sat Oct 3, 2009, 2:54 AM
Today my heart is heavy because last night I held my little buddy wicket as she was euthanized. Wicket was having health problems the past few months and last night the vet figured out that it was Feline infectious peritonitis (FIP) [link] which is a fatal incurable disease. There was only one solution which was to end her suffering :( Wicket was only 5 years old.

My photos of Wicket are the most popular photos in my gallery. She had a personality that demanded attention which made her a great cat model :) I also have many more photos of her that I will post in the future. I am going to miss her so much.

I lost a cat to FIP once, he was barely a year old. I'm so sorry for your loss. Wicket was a beautiful cat :meow:

I adore your depictions of nature! Your photos are absolutely beautiful! I only wish I could live in a area as rich in natural beauty as where you are...Canada has beautiful landscapes. Keep up the great work

Now the gears they will fail to turn
